Aims

Objective of the funding opportunity:  
To assist and promote mobility within work-linked training, including apprenticeships, by providing a voluntary Europe-wide means of recording periods of training outside of the "home" member state. The programme is open to any person undergoing work-linked vocational training in an EU member state, whatever their age or level of training.

Trainees get to learn about other technologies and different know-how, deepen their qualifications and boost their skills while gaining exposure to different working environments and cultures.


Companies acting as "hosts" to apprentices or students from another country get to profit from the trainees' experience and know-how and get the opportunity to gain exposure to Europe and facilitate contact with new foreign partners.

Young people and career choices

Eligibility Eligible organisations:  A partnership must be established between the establishment where the person's training is based and the host body abroad. A host body can be a private or public sector employer or a training establishment or centre.
Accreditation Organisations must have the following accreditation to bid: No accreditation is needed
Amount available Funding available: A total budget of 7.3 million Euros has been allocated for the period January 2000 to December 2004. The programme does not cover expenses abroad but other European programmes including Leonardo da Vinci, Socrates and Youth provide grants for mobility costs such as subsistence and travel.
