Aims

Objective of the funding opportunity:
The programme aims to encourage enterprise in disadvantaged areas by providing a flexible and comprehensive programme of business support and training as well as start-up funding.
Its key objectives are:
- To encourage successful entrepreneurial activity
- To improve the quality of business management
- To improve business survival
- To develop a business start-up programme
- To produce role models of successful self-starting entrepreneurial activity in deprived areas

Eligibility Eligible Organisations:  Individuals
Accreditation Organisations must have the following accreditation to bid: No accreditation is needed
Amount available Funding available: Individual scholars will selected for the programme.
The programme consists of a skills need assessment and personal development plan process, a customised business support programme, on going business support from a mentor and when the the time is right the 'scholar' will be able to access up to £3,500 of start-up support.
