Aims

Objective of the funding opportunity:
The grant aims to encourage SMEs to carry out research and development that leads to technologically innovative products and processes, improving R&D capability and forming the basis of business development (start-ups) or growth.

There are four types of project that can be funded for in this opportunity:

Eligibility Eligible Organisations:  Individuals setting up a business, small or medium-sized businesses who are already trading in England. Each project has different eligibility criteria See the Guidance Notes for details.
Accreditation Organisations must have the following accreditation to bid: No accreditation is needed.
Amount available Funding available: The minimum grant that can be awarded is £2,500 and the maximum grant is £500,000, depending on the project applied for.
Match funding is required. The amount is dependent on the project applied for.
