| Aims |
Objective of the funding opportunity: The Fellowships enable men and women from all walks of life to acquire knowledge and experience abroad. It is believed that they gain a better understanding of the lives and different cultures of people overseas and, on their return, their effectiveness at work and their contribution to the community is enhanced greatly. Past award winners have included nurses, artists,
scientists, engineers, farmers, conservationists, carers, craft workers,
artisans, members of the emergency services, sportsmen and women and disabled
people. |

| Amount available | Funding available: The grant will cover all your expenses: return air fare, daily living, travel within the countries being visited and, in exceptional cases, certain home expenses. In 2003, the Trust awarded grants in excess of £530,000. You will also be insured against accident, medical expenses and loss of baggage while you are away. Grants usually cover a stay overseas of 4-8 weeks. | |
