| Aims |
Objective
of the funding opportunity:
To inspire and equip
young people to learn and succeed through enterprise.
The scheme has a number of programmes aimed at different age groups they
are:
Primary Programme
- provides 4- 11 year olds with building blocks for skills development
and an understanding of the 'world of work'
Project Business
- gives 14-15 year olds a practical, activity based insight into economic
and business life
Company Programme
- gives 15- 19 years the experience of running their own company
Team Programme
- offers young people aged 15- 19+ practical experience of running their
own company
Entrepreneurship Masterclass
- allows students who have already participated in one of Young Enterprise's
company-based programmes to build on their experiences
Graduate Programme
- allows students on Higher Education courses to experience running their
own business

The Young Enterprise scheme will provide support to allow educational institutions
to run programmes teach students about entrepreneurship or allow students
to run their own businesses. The scheme matches institutions with volunteers
from business who ask as advisers and provides training for teachers and
advisers. |
| Application |
How
to apply for this funding :
Institutions need to contact the Young Enterprise Board to become a Registered
Centre. Once registered, the centre nominates a "Teacher Partner"
and is then provided with information, materials and training and is
put in contact with a volunteer Business Partner.
Institutions can apply on line on the Young
Enterprise website or by contacting the Young Enterprise National
