Aims

Objective of the funding opportunity:
To provide commercial returns to its investors by investing in young, well-managed businesses with high growth potential. CREATE invests in return for an equity stake in the business.
The Fund has been set up with investment from the Small Business Service, the European Investment Fund, The Bank of Scotland and private investors.
CREATE aims to accelerate the development of early stage high growth businesses by providing capital, strategic advice and comprehensive business development services.
CREATE is building a focused portfolio of investments based on companies which use technological advancements to provide solutions to existing business needs.

Eligibility Eligible Organisations:  
 The fund has been established to make investments in new or existing small and medium-sized businesses that can demonstrate significant growth potential and are either based in the East of England or conduct a significant part of their business there.

Accreditation Organisations must have the following accreditation to bid: No accreditation is needed
Amount available Funding available:
The target fund size is £30 million and £20 million has been raised so far.
The initial investment available to each business is a maximum of £250,000, and up to a further £250,000 may be invested after a minimum 6 month period. In certain circumstances, total investment in any one company may be further increased up to 10% of the value of the Fund.
