Objective of the funding opportunity:The Educational Grants Advisory Service (EGAS)) provides information and funding for post-16 education to promote access to education as a means of reducing social exclusion and escaping the poverty trap.

It aims to help the following client groups:

Eligibility Eligible individuals: Those who wish to enter post-16 education or training who are resident in the UK, residents of the European Economic Area studying in the UK and overseas students in the UK who are coming to the end of their course. 
Accreditation Organisations must have the following accreditation to bid: No accreditation is needed
Amount available Funding available: The Educational Grants Advisory Service (EGAS) provides advice and information on sources of available funding for education and training, EGAS is not a grant giving organisation in itself but is part of the Family Welfare Association which is a trustee to a number of education trusts. Students cannot apply to these trusts directly and should contact EGAS.
